Standard Block
Standard block construction is great for design flexibility and is a preferred choice because it offers advantages such as water and fire resistance, strength, durability, cost effectiveness, and soundproofing. Niagara Block offers a whole range of standard blocks including concrete, lightweight and dry block in many shapes, sizes and configurations. Our blocks are made from local materials, blended and batched automatically, moulded by hydraulic equipment and cured in heated steam kilns. The quick-drying kiln process allows the blocks to be stacked the next day without fear of breakage.
Architectural Block
Architectural Block accommodates a wide range of design elements, including colour, texture, and profile. We offer a full line of Architectural Block in a variety of colours, shapes, sizes, and cast face configurations including Split Face, Split Ledge, Split Rib, Smooth Ledge, and Scored Block.
Architectural Screen Blocks
Screen Blocks have been on the market for over 30 years and are making a resurgence again. Often called Breeze Blocks, Screen Wall Blocks have an Art Deco appeal in common with many fashions from the 50’s and 60’s. This unique Architectural Block separates and defines spaces and creates an openness like no other. While beautiful, Screen blocks are decorative blocks and should not be used as structural units.
They provide excellent protection from the sun, and at the same time allow ventilation to pass through. Screen blocks give an architectural accent to the residential market for use in property line walls, feature walls, privacy screens, and garages, and to commercial projects for focal point walls, stairwells, and parking garages.
